A night out with Zeros

Kaylynn and I decided we just had to get out of the house. You know that feeling that you just have to get out of the house or you're going to lose it? I had that feeling. I had to get out.

Being that Kaylynn smokes and that she's now a second class citizen and should not be allowed in public thanks to the Kansas City Smoking ban, we went to the casinos. Ameristar, meh. But I thought and if I remembered correctly, the Voodoo Lounge was at Harrahs. How lucky were we? Cool bar. You can smoke and The Zeros were playing! The Zeros are self discribed as a new wave 80's band and they are that. I've always found that you can totally botch things as a cover band or you can totally rock as a cover band. Botching it makes you sound like your above average Kareoke just before the drunks take over.

The Zeros are not that by a long shot.

The are very hardcore awesome. Excellent show, great transitions that keep the crowd going and that should be expected. A little cruise of their website and finding out that they are made up of the members of "My Three Sons, The Sons of Rex, Naked Soul, Go Kart, Outhouse, and The Elders", it all makes sense why I like these guys so much. Plus, I have to give some love to Voodoo Lounge. Never been there before and who knew that little place existed. I admit. I feel like I've been locked in a dungeon for the last few months but no more! The Vixen is OUT.

Trust me, The Zeros will make your night. Even if you aren't a child of the 80's, the show is great and the music gets you up and makes you dance.
